The KARTT upgraded 2023 Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel makes life even easier for the caravanner. The new ‘Superwheel’ has been re-engineered with an enlarged rim, superior rivets and a state of the art lower profile recyclable rubber tyre. 

Rigorous testing in our extensive facilities has demonstrated the durable rubber with enhanced all-terrain wide wheel is even more resilient to deal with the 
demands of motor movers and challenging conditions.

Motorhome Club members, have developed the 2023 ‘Superwheel’ upgrade,

Anti-Slip Ribbed Jockey Wheel

KARTT offer an anti-slip / ribbed version of our Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel - for caravans with extremely heavy nose weights up to 350kg.


The outer tube is designed to further ensure that it does not slip in the clamp - so should ideally be coupled with a KARTT cast iron swing clamp - though it will still work well with a pressed clamp as standard on most caravans.


An extra heavy duty pistol grip further adds to the ease of use when winding/unwinding this jockey wheel under severe loads. Our easy to follow fitting instructions are included to help you to replace your existing jockey wheel.


The extra thick outer tube further ensures that the clamp isn't overtightened, a common problem that can occur with smooth jockey wheels which can cause indentations on the outer tube of the jockey wheel and sometimes presses into the inner tube, restricting movement of the jockey wheel.


In most cases, our standard Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel will do the job brilliantly!

  • Why does it 'click' when I turn the handle?... is that normal?

    Yes, it's normal!  


    This is the Turn-Lok ™ feature in action.


    Each click is like a little barrier that will stop it unwinding in transit… so you don’t need to remember to put a pin or lock in place, it locks safely automatically.

  • When will I receive my order?

    Order received before 12:00pm (mid-day) will be dispatched the same day. 


    Orders placed after 12:00pm are dispatched the next working day.

  • Will it fit my particular Caravan?

    The Kartt Utimate Caravan Jockey Wheel is designed to fit most makes and models of caravan.


    Check that your existing jockey wheel has a 48mm diameter outer tube. 


    The jockey wheel can be installed to both internal and external frame clamps.  


    Please note, the Eldis Infinity and Avante models will not fit our jockey wheels as our wheel is too wide (the cowling is uniquely narrow on these caravans)


  • Can I fit it myself?

    Please refer to our installation video. The jockey wheel is supplied with fitting instructions.

  • How much does it weigh?

    Our standard Ulimate Caravan Jockey Wheel weighs in at 7.7kg.


    Our Ribbed Anti-Slip version is 10kg. Suitable for big twin axle caravan's like Buccaneer. 

  • How do I workout the nose weights and towing weight ratios so I can tow safely?

    Max load for our Standard Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel is 250kg - our Ribbed/Anti-Slip is 350kg

  • Will it cope with the weight of my caravan, especially if twin axle?

    Again, The Kartt Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel can support a nose weight up to 250kg. 


    Our Anti-Slip Ribbed Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel is suitable for a maximum nose weight of 350kg.



    When loading your caravan take care to ensure even weight distribution and follow the guidelines provided by your caravan manufacturer and further information can be found from The Caravan & Motorhome Club website. 


  • Will I need to replace my clamp/bracket?

    We reccommend you check your existing clamp for   wear and tear.


    We offer replacement clamps through www.Kartt.Shop.  


    It is essential that you check the bolt holes and fitting requirements prior to selecting a compatible clamp for your caravan.  Do not make alterations to the caravan's A-frame/chassis as this may cause safety risks and invalidate your warranty.


    This includes checkin the handle length that you may require to operate the clamp. 


    We are on hand to provide support. Alternatively, your caravan dealer will offer advice.

  • How long will it last?

    The Kartt Ultimate Caravan Jockey Wheel should be serviced and maintained at least annually.


    We provide useful instructions for servicing your jockey wheel on our website.


    This jockey wheel is designed to be used at low speeds to safely support and manoeuvre your caravan.  Please read our full instructions.


    It depends on how well you treat it like anything - but it's tougher than most!

  • Will it work with a motor mover?

    This is a motor mover's dream partner but must be used with consideration.


    You must allow the wheel to turn naturally through an arc.  Over turning, dragging sideways or operating too quickly will cause wheel damage.


    We reccommend you lower the height of your jockey wheel to balance the caravan prior to manoeuvering.


    We firmly believe this is the best quality caravan jockey wheel on the market but it can not defy the laws of physics if mis-used!

We analysed every component to create a jockey wheel that is tough enough to withstand impacts of cobbles, curbs and ruts and with the strength to cope with high sideways forces, yet is not too heavy.
Kartt fits a big wide wheel but is perfect to stow inside the A frame and maintain good ground clearance. Puncture-proof, it travels easily across most surfaces; not only tarmac, gravel and chippings as on most hard standing sites, but also grass and sand. The tyre is solid, with a high impact capability, but is also forgiving. It has the same footprint width of many pneumatic tyres but without the potential drawbacks. Kartt’s design is “ideal for use with motor movers”and thus easy to “steer” resulting
in great reviews by those that have tested it.
The outer and inner tubes are selected for strength. The wheel hangers are heavy duty to better withstand impact when manoeuvring and the side plates are formed to give greater strength by design. We have added unique features that have benefitted thousands of other users of our Kartt Orange Premium jockey wheels. 
A high visibility, orange powder coated, steel rim that can be more easily seen if the wheel is not raised after hitching up. The powder coating gives additional protection from road and sea salt. The 20mm steel axle tube rides inside a maintenance free nylon bearing allowing free running and no metal to metal wear. 
This performs better than a steel bearing, which can break down under load.
Kartt has designed a device called
Turn-Lok™ that stops the handle from winding under normal road vibrations. This prevents the wheel assembly from dropping out whilst travelling, something that could cause damage to the caravan or cause an accident.
Kartt’s unique specification is completed with an ergonomically designed jockey knob that is so easy to grip, along with a top of the range thrust bearing under the handle to allow a very smooth action when raising or lowering the jockey wheel. The unique jockey wheel also comes with easy to follow fitting instructions.
